A Final Look Back: A Note from Stevan after his Amazing College Wrestling Career

23/03/2022

Team 100 finished 2nd behind Penn State at the NCAA Finals 2022, however, for the first time since 1973 Michigan University has won the 2022 Big Ten Wrestling Championships title with a team score of 143.0. It was a challenging last year for Stevan, given that he had to get acclimatized to folkstyle wrestling again but also to a new weight class which couldn't prevent him from winning quite a few important matches for the Wolverines.

"I cannot believe my career as a Michigan Wolverine has finally ended. I'm very blessed to have the opportunity to represent the block M with my brothers and family that I've gained over the last 7 years. Team 100 is something I will always hold close to me, we were able to achieve so much this year. I battled through a lot of adversity this semester moving up and coming back to folkstyle but I have no doubt in my mind the best is still in front of me. Cannot wait to accomplish my freestyle goals and aspirations for Serbia as I prepare for the Olympics Games in Paris 2024. Thank you for all of the memories and GO BLUE FOREVER!"
