Stevan was born and raised in the United States of America where his centers of live are Cedar Lake, IN, and Ann Arbor, the home of the Michigan Wolverines.  

"Yes, I am an American and a proud Michigan Wolverine, however, being Serbian has always been something I have identified with strongly. Having slava (Sveti Jovan; January 20th), Orthodox Christmas and Easter are some of my favorite days of the year. Attending the Serbian Orthodox church is something very important to me, where I grew up being an altar boy every Sunday. Me and my family are proud of our heritage and I am extremely proud to represent and compete as the first Olympian and European medalist in freestyle wrestling for the country of Serbia. In a country with dominant Greco-Roman Wrestling,

Serbia has the potential to grow the style of freestyle in the country as well. Hopefully with my accolades and my future success, I aim to grow freestyle in Serbia."

Fashion

"I would definitely describe myself as fashion conscious. Dressing in good style has always been something I have had an eye for. Clothing has had big impact on my life growing up where I was encouraged to dress proper for the occasion. Shopping for new clothing items and collecting exclusive shoes are some of my favorite things to do."
